One Mama One Shed Load of Inspiration from Becky (Small & Wild)

One Mama One Shed Load of Inspiration from Becky (Small & Wild)

I am so excited to be working with the fabulous Becky and Kate from Small & Wild, bringing you an offer you can hardly refuse. Their herbal teas are divine. Designed for tots but equally as quioffable for the grown ups, the offer of a free box of tea is almost too good to be true. The ladies behind the brand are just the sweetest and I really can't wait for you to hear what makes them tick...

Kate and Becky

This week I’m reading The Ice Monster by David Walliams with my 5 year old. It’s brilliant. She is the last stop on my bath & bed routine and I always look forward to it. We both love his stories and it makes bedtime that little bit more bearable!

Watching… I usually log on to reply to emails (and add things to shopping baskets that I never checkout) whilst I’m sitting in front of the TV but recently we watched War on Plastic with Hugh & Anita, which was eye opening and terrifying.

Listening to… Never anything very cool. We made the mistake of getting an Amazon Alexa so now the kids battle over The Greatest Showman soundtrack and the Paw Patrol theme tune 24/7!

Stalking… ooo, so many people! But mostly my lovely sister who has just had a gorgeous little baby boy. Can’t get enough of him.

Talking about… aside from the monotony of moaning about endless washing, the fact that Small & Wild tea is now stocked in Whole Foods and Ocado!!!!!

Wondering… when my 11 month old will sleep through the night.

Admiring… my mum, more and more each day, for how she raised 3 of us and ran her own business so brilliantly and with all the energy in the world. Doing the same now I’m realising just how much of a challenge and juggle it is but ultimately really rewarding.

Going… to the park. Always. Every. Single. Day. Makes my two boys giggle and the café does a pretty good coffee, so we’re all happy. So nice in this lovely weather too.

Wearing… jumpsuits. And swiftly regretting it when my pelvic floor isn’t as strong as it used to be!

Cooking… I LOVE a Hemsley + Hemsley Paradise Bar. I could eat a whole batch of them in one go. With the kids, we love doing the Little Cooks Co recipe boxes together.

Drinking… A decaf Monmouth coffee with almond milk in the morning, one of our Happy Toucan teas as a pick me up in the afternoon and small glass of wine after the kids are down.

Looking after myself by… doing some exercise. I know it sounds indulgent but after three kids it feels important to invest in my own health again, so I now see a lovely once a week. She specialises in postnatal training so I know that I’m in safe hands. And I go to a really hippy, chilled yoga class on a Sunday afternoon at the top of a multi storey car park in Peckham that resets me for the week and makes me feel human again.

Spending my money on… Ooo, we’re just about to renovate our kitchen. When we moved into our house 5 years ago, it was the room we said we would tackle first… but we’ve left it until last. So currently I’m spending my money on some lovely pendant lighting from Pooky!

Grateful for… honestly and truthfully so grateful for meeting my lovely co-Founder, Kate. We met at a pregnancy yoga class when we were expecting our second children, met again at an antenatal class, enjoyed many cups of tea together, our eldest kids got on extremely well and now we have a business that we love together.

Trying to be a better person by… keeping my cool with the kids even when they drive me up the wall. Still working on that one.
